Last Friday’s “Don't hang up your canvas shopping bag just yet” post from Atlanta Magazine’s blog “Covered Dish” reminded us of the joys of late summer/early fall. Now’s the time to savor peppers, okra, tomatoes and eggplants, and to welcome figs, green beans, muscadine grapes, pears, Swiss chard, tomatoes, turnip greens and winter squash.
